2018 Project Life Week 07 ft. March Release Grow Deeper Roots!!!
Hi everyone, today I am sharing a layout from my 2018 Project Life album for Week 07. I am using the Larkindesign Grow Deeper Roots collection, available in my shop, and also the Dear Lizzy Stay Colorful collection. Have a look at my process here.
Here is the completed layout.
Our stories for this week included Valentine’s Day, NAL competition for Nick, visits to s friends’ house for Addison, date night, and every day life.
The left hand side begins with the date card, which is one of the patterned papers from Grow Deeper Roots. I have layered it with a photo template that will be released in April, so stay tuned for that!
I decided to pull the purple elements from the kit and love how it looks on the layout. The other colors of pink and teal and light blue add a soft beauty to it.
Each month I design two sheets of printable elements to go with the collections. These are tags, labels, and other embellishments you can print and cut using your die cutting machine or just fussy cut if you don’t have a cutting machine. These add the perfect little something to the photos and journaling cards, and I am loving the flat pages right now.
I’ve also used a few tiny wood veneer hearts around the page. Those are from Felicity Jane.
The wreath card is from February’s kit, The Heart Is Home. Also notice how I used the green card, but layered purple over it to coordinate best with the layout.
Our Valentine’s Day was celebrated a few days later, as Nick and Natalie were at their Dads on that day. When they got back we gave them their chocolates and gifts, which is what they are doing around the dining room table. They are mildly obsessed with Kinder eggs right now, so that was one of the things they got and I took a photo of one as well. Too funny!
As I was printing my photos and writing out my journaling, if occurred to me this is one of the last times I will pick Nick up from this school! He has been in middle school for three years now and will move on to High School next year. I love capturing these kids right now, in the moment, as they are today.
I love this journaling card so much! Using washi tape to create lines is one of my favorite things to do, and the confetti on the side is just happiness. The hello on the geometric card is from Dear Lizzy Stay Colorful.
One last photo of the toy from the Kinder egg. They are so cute, have you seen them? The eggs have chocolate in them and then a fun little toy that is something for little hands to keep busy, figure out, do something with. They are so cute! The Stories of Home card is also from February’s The Heart Is Home kit.
Thanks for joining me today! See you again soon!
