Hi everyone, today Neftali is on the blog sharing her gorgeous layout using the Larkindesign Sweet Chicks Digital Collection! Be sure to check out her About Me Page, where you can connect with her on all your favorite social media.

Welcome, everyone! It is Neftali here with you once again, to share a super quick way you can create a stunning layout using the Patterned Papers collection from this month’s digital release called Sweet Chicks!

If you haven’t tried out the gorgeous patterned papers in this month’s collection, I highly recommend that you take advantage of Theresa’s freebie in her shop that gives you a couple of the sheets to try! Trust me when I say you’ll want them after you finish reading this post.

Now first, let’s take a look at what my layout looks like:

This 8 1/2 by 11 layout I created used some simple steps that I hope you are inspired to use in your next layout or project. I started off by printing the patterned papers on some letter sized cardstock.

I don’t own a 12×12 printer, but luckily I do have a printer that prints through to the edges of the paper. It’s great because once my patterns are printed on the sheets, they look like full patterned papers in 8 1/2 by 11 size. That’s definitely an option you can have if you don’t have a large sized printer: to simply print the patterned papers on regular cardstock right at home!

Once those pretty patterned papers were printed, I went and picked my photograph. I found the perfect matching photo of some gorgeous Daffodils I found at good ol’ Trader Joe’s.

This photograph matched perfectly with the colors in the collection, and so I was ready to get started!

I cut strips of some of my favorite patterned papers, and stitched them vertically right onto my page and ruffled them up a little bit, giving them some great dimension and texture.

After that, I stuck my photo down on the right hand side of my page. It was a large 4×6 photo, so it covered a large part of the patterned papers, but I still loved how those textured strips peeked from under and over my photo.

Ladies, I am not joking when I say that this was pretty much all I did. The last step was to add a few embellishments, but I went super minimal with the embellishing. I only added a few puffy stickers of the Maggie Holmes Flourish collection puffy words sticker sheets, including the vines to the left of my photo and the hearts to the bottom right and too left.

Then a focal point/title round sticker that says  “All things grow with love “, which goes so well with the photo of my blooming flower!

A few teal splatters were the last and final touch and I ended up with this great layout in no time!

So, now it’s your turn!
