***Citrus Twist Design Team*** 2019 Pocket Life Weeks 07 and 08 Plus A Layout Share

***Citrus Twist Design Team*** 2019 Pocket Life Weeks 07 and 08

Hello Lovelies! Today I wanted to share with you the projects I have completed for the Citrus Twist Design Team for the month of April! Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page as well, where you can view my process video for this Project Life layout.

My favorite layouts to create with the Citrus Twist kits are most definitely pocket pages! Pocket pages are my jam, and the April Make It A Venti kit is perfect. My 2019 album is coming along and I loved using this kit for these two weeks in February. The soft colors with pinks and purples and a pop of blue made this layout easy to pull together.

I also created a bit in my Life Crafted album this month. I absolutely love this format and love just creating for fun.

The April kit was mostly coffee themed, but still a very versatile kit! I am not a fan of coffee, but I was inspired to think about other mug-related things and that inspired me to create this fun layout about mug cakes! I love these things and we eat them quite a lot in our house, so it was perfect to document here.

I also documented my love of Diet Coke for this layout that was shared on Instagram! I had so much fun creating that mixed background, and notice the vertical embellishments on the left. Such an easy trick!

This mixed media layout is perhaps one of my all-time favorites. I was inspired by one of the patterned papers in the kit for my background, and that amazing floral cut file. What an amazing creative month! Be sure to check out the Citrus Twist blog, and watch my process video below to see my pocket page!

Thank you so much for joining me! See you again soon!

2019 Project Life Introduction and Short Walk Through!

Larkindesign 2019 Project Life Introduction And Walk Through

Hello Lovelies!!! Today I am sharing an Introduction to my 2019 Project Life album! I started this album a few weeks ago and have been sort of feeling my way through how I wanted to approach this project this year. I have already created a few weeks and have shared a few of them in the classroom at In My Pocket Volume 01. Today you can watch my Introduction video and see a short walk through of the first ten weeks here.

I would love to share with you some of the layouts that have already been completed. First was the Introduction layout, which is a pocket page I did while I was on the Clique Kits design team. I have used Paige Evans Whimsical collection and sequins from Spiegel Mom Scraps.

Larkindesign 2019 Project Life Album Introduction Layout

For the first two weeks of January I created a layout using the Sahlin Studio Winter collection. At this time I didn’t really know how each layout was going to work out just yet, so I simply added the January 01 date. It ended up being a two week spread, and that is pretty much how I plan to keep going on this project.

The following two layouts are included in the process videos for In My Pocket Volume 01.

I also have created this layout for Week 11 for the Sahlin Studio creative team, featuring the Ouch! digital collection.

Larkindesign 2019 Project Week 11

I hope you will check back tomorrow as I will share my layout for Weeks 09 and 10, with complete process video sharing my digital portion and the physical process. How about you? Have you started your 2019 Project Life album yet? I’d love to hear how you are approaching this project this year so let’s chat! Thank you for joining me on this next adventure!

Print To Pocket Action No 01 | 2013 Project Life Week 22

In My Pocket Memory Keeping Class

Hello Lovelies! Today I have a Photoshop Tutorial for you, using my brand new Print To Pocket Action No. 01 that just released yesterday. You can purchase the Action by clicking on the image below.

Larkindesign Print To Pocket 01 Photoshop Actions

Actions are a series of recorded steps in Photoshop that allow you to repeat the same steps over and over again. This Action helps you design your pocket page layout and then breaks the layout apart into 4×6 printable photos. Here is a video showing how I created this layout:

This Action has completely changed (and simplified!) how I design and print my pocket page layouts. It’s so easy now to select my photos, edit them on a dime, drop them into the layout and then run the Action. This layout today took me about 20 minutes from start to printed photos! For today’s layout I simply edited and added photos to my foundation template, and then ran the Action to have it break the layout apart into printable 4×6 photos.

You can absolutely batch print your pages, leaving the fun creative part once your pages are all printed out. Here is a snapshot of my photos for this layout. They are all sized at 4×6 @300ppi and ready for printing.

Of course, if you are using digital collections you can drop your digital cards into your template as well, and let the Action save those journal cards for you with your photos.

The completed layout is below. If you’d like to see the process video for how I completed the layout once my photos were printed, I invite you to join me in the classroom at In My Pocket Vol. 01! For this layout I used physical Project Life products from Studio Calico to complete the pages. You will be so amazed at how quickly the Action runs, allowing you to print quickly and leave lots of time for the creative part!

Isn’t that awesome to watch?!! Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you will pick up these amazing Actions today!

***Citrust Twist Design Team*** Layout Share for March 2019

Larkindesign ***Citrus Twist Design Team*** Layout Share March 2019

Hello Lovelies! Today I wanted to share the layouts I have created for the Citrus Twist design team that I created in the month of March. I am loving being on this team and love creating with the beautiful Life Crafted Kits each month! I hope you will scroll all the way down, where I have a bonus process video for you!

I could not wait to begin working in the Life Crafted album. This is a navy travelers notebook sized binder that is perfect for standard size layouts. One of the things I love about it is that even though I love travelers notebook layouts, I really want them to feel more permanent. This album is perfect for that and gives those layouts a beautiful home. These albums will look beautiful on your shelf!

I began my album with an introduction layout about who I am and how I plan to use my album. I created this adorable little pocket that was included in the March Life Crafted Kit, adding a bit of embellishments and a journal card to go inside.

I added a photo of myself and lots of tags, die cuts, and labels along the edge of the photo, all of which tell the story of how this is a new chapter in my life. You can view my blog post for Citrus Twist via the link here.

I also shared a fun bonus layout on my IGTV this month.

I was inspired by the Butterfly cut file that is part of the Subscriber content on the Citrus Twist website. I cut the file using double sided card stock (CTMH) and backed some of the butterflies using a patterned paper from the March kit.

The other butterflies I layered cut outs using the lighter side of the butterflies. On this side the cut file is layered on top of the chevron patterned paper, so the solid card stock allows the butterflies to pop against the pattern.

My last layout (so far!) with the March Life Crafted Kit was a Pocket Life layout I created for October in my 2018 album. You can see the blog post on the Citrus Twist blog here.

I love using all the fun elements of the kit for pocket page layouts, and here are a few highlights.

The alphabet stickers were perfect for creating my date card and adding a working title to a photo! I also had great fun combining stamp sets to form word sentiments that help to tell the stories I wanted to tell.

I also love layering journal cards, as you can see with the blue Bits & Pieces layered over the stripe card, and then repeating that pop of blue throughout the layout.

I created a bonus process video of my first layout I created in my Life Crafted album. I hope you will watch that here!

Thank you so much for joining me today! See you again soon!
