Oh my goodness, what an exciting weekend! Between the long-awaited release of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, plus a brand new collection from Project Mouse called Beginnings, this little Disney-loving fan is in heaven! I have lots to share with you, and that means that this week will look a bit different than normal!
I created a few layouts for the Sahlin Studio creative team, and as always, these are sooo much fun to create and even more fun to share with you. Let me invite you to check out the Sahlin Studio blog to learn more about Project Mouse Beginnings and find even more amazing inspiration right here: Project Mouse Beginnings.
Did you get to see Beauty and the Beast yet?! Alan and I actually got to go on opening night and seriously, it was AMAZING! I couldn’t wait to get home and scrapbook the night! I created the layout above entirely digitally, my very first (!!!!), and I plan to share my process for that with you this week.
Last week I introduced you to our honeymoon album, Bermuda edition, and the Beginnings collection was simply perfect for it! Ah, these pastels compliment the Bermuda scenery beautifully.
I also created these fun tags and had some questions on Instagram and in The Lilypad forum about how I made them, so I hope to share that process with you as well. You can see the discussion on the forum here: The Lilypad FANniversary forum.
So stay tuned this week! Lots of tutorials coming, hopefully lots of inspiration and fun ways to use Project Mouse Beginnings. See you back here soon!
Hi guys, today I am beginning an entire new series and I cannot wait to share it with you!!!!! Alan and I went to Bermuda on our honeymoon four years ago, and it is time for me to get those photos scrapped!!!! So grab your tickets and let’s go!
When Alan and I got married in 2012, we decided directly after the wedding to head off to Bermuda for a couple of days. These are our stories from that trip.
I chose the Jasmine Jones 9×12 album from Studio Calico to house this project. The amazing florals speak tropics to me, and the size is perfect for the 150-199 photos I plan to include.
I added a few charms to the side, much like planners add to their books!
My plan is to use several different types of page protectors. The album itself came with a variety of protectors, including this standard 4×6 shown above. This is my introduction page in its planning stages, using some cards from the February Documenter kit Confidant.
Because I have some vertical photos, I am also including these page protectors that have been cut down from 12×12. They measure 8×12, and this adds some visual interest as you turn pages in the album!
I also cut down a few Becky Higgins 12×12 Design A page protectors and sealed the edges on the sides. Mainly I did this because I was worried I would not have enough of the Studio Calico protectors, and also again to have some variety!
I am also looking forward to including some full 9×12 layouts as well, so have included those protectors as well. The photos I plan to use for those layouts are already in place and ready to go!
Thanks so much for joining me on this awesome journey! See you again soon!
