Hi there! I am sharing my process video for December 1 in my December Daily today! Have a look:
This was the layout before the photo and journaling was added:
Here it is completed with just the one photo for now, and my journaling.
I was able to arrange my display of December Daily albums here on this cabinet, which houses our DVD’s and electronics. I found this cabinet on Craigslist a few years ago and painted it using Annie Sloan chalk paint. I love displaying pretty things here!
The middle 3×4 cards were completed during the foundation process, and for that I was thankful today.
My journaling card here, where I added light journaling lines using a silver paint pen and a few word stickers from the Ali Edwards main kit.
I love this project so much and appreciate so very much all of the comments and love that has been shown for this project! Thank you for following along with me!
Hi there! Today I am sharing my process video for November 30 in my 2016 December album, along with photos from November 29 and 30! Take a look:
For November 29 I had some photos from our adventures decorating some gingerbread cookies. I had picked up a simple kit from the store, no baking required (!), and I told the kids if they got all the chores done and showered, we would have a little fun with them.
I had four photos, all of them vertical shots that fit perfect in the 3×4 pockets I had for this day. One of them, along with the journaling, is viewed by a flap under the top photo.
Nothing complicated here, just the flip photo, journaling card, and washi tape. You can add a tab if you wish, but I left it simple today.
For my number for this day I decided to use the number 29 tag from last year’s Ali Edwards Main kit, and then I added another circle embellishment from this year’s kit.
On to November 30, which is about one of Natalie’s favorite things about Christmas – her favorite, beloved stuffed Christmas tree. Every year she cannotwait to bring the ornaments out and enjoy her stuffed tree, and every year we have to steal it back from her so we can put it back away!
Be sure to watch the video when you get a chance, because I shared previous albums and how I have documented this stuffed tree in years past. I highly recommend including things like this in your album year after year! I have loved tracking her growth through the years and every year her eyes sparkle with joy. This is a do-not-miss photo!
Here is a quick snap of the layout in the album, showing the title and journaling cards, and the transparent card from Pinkfresh Studio.
I love this project so much, and adding everymemory each day just fills me with so much joy every December. I am thankful for this project and so thankful for you!
Hi there! I have to say that I am so excited that tomorrow is December 1!!!! I am excited because so many others will begin their December albums on the first and I cannot wait to start seeing what everyone else is doing this year. For today I only have my process video for November 29, and tomorrow I will share the photographs along with November 30.
Thanks so much for following along! I would LOVE to hear from you, let me know how you are documenting this December and link me up of you’re sharing!
Hi there, I am moving right along in my December album and have my layout for November 28 to share with you today, plus photos for the 27th! First have a look at my process video:
So it just made a lot of sense to blog these two days together since they are the same layout in the album and also because they tell the story of two days kind of together.
Here is November 27 by itself. For this day I used a photo we took during one of our walks the day before Alan left.
I created this great list to remind me of all my favorite things we like to do in the month of December, that I cannot wait to do when Alan gets back. I am so thankful that this project gives me the space to do that.
I love this photo of us. I won’t lie, that finding time for us is hard. Finishing a sentence is hard some days. And sometimes, we walk around the block so we can have a conversation and make decisions together. And then these moments happen.
For November 28 I decided to include some of the photos Alan has been sending me from Germany. I found this map of Germany online and of course had to include it as well. I created tabs using We R Memory Keepers clear tab stickers, and punched them to add them to the binder.
When you turn the insert you find my journaling and the layout for the 28th.
I love how the insert turned out. It provided a great place to journal, and it also tells the story about where Alan is. A little random fact about me: I grew up in this country. My parents were missionaries here when I was 6-10 and it is a place that is near and dear to me. Even though I am not there with him, I am still pretty excited to be able to include some of these things in our album!
For the journaling page, I created a canvas in Photoshop CC and wrote my text, then I added the elements around it. All of the digital elements are included in the Oh What Fun collection from Sahlin Studio, available here: The Lilypad. (Link will open in a new window)
I had the number 28 from the Ali Edwards Main Kit that I have now layered over top of a vellum from Crate Paper’s Wonder collection. I also added one of the transparent pieces from Pinkfresh Studio’s Oh Joy collection.
Here is one more look at the layout in the album:
Thanks so much for following along!
