Project Life 2015

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 21-22

Ok, so yep, another two video blog post today! I know, I know, lots of stuff to show you! I have broken up Weeks 21 and 22 into two videos, so here is Week 21. I actually released this one on my Youtube channel last week and was not able to share it here (so if you haven’t subscribed to my Channel, be sure to, just for that reason! Sometimes it happens like that.)

Ok, and then in the album on the facing page is Week 22, so here is the process video for that week as well!

Here is a look at both layouts within the album itself:

I have to say that these layouts make me so incredibly happy. I have used the heck out of this Gossamer Blue kit from last year (May 2015) and also I have adored using Dear Lizzy’s Fine and Dandy collection. I can’t say enough good things about that line!

This week we started a brand new project in our home – tiling the master bathroom. I was so excited because we picked out a marble tile for the floor and a tumbled marble for the walls. Stay tuned because next week I will be featuring the completed project here on the blog! (Yes, it took us a whole year to finish – don’t judge!)

Ok, on to the facing layout:

The date card was so much fun to create. Yes, I totally mixed three different fonts and I love it.

Ok, that is all for today. I hope you are making time to create some beautiful things for yourself this week. See you soon!

TBT Project Life 2015 Week 20 | Using Older Kits!

Hi there, today I am working on a layout in my 2015 Project Life album for week 20, using an older Gossamer Blue kit from May 2015. Here is my process video:

So I completely forgot to take a photo before I started the layout, but here is the layout completed:

TBT Project Life 2015 Week 20

The Gossamer Blue kit for May of last year was designed to coordinate with Jen Hadfield’s Cottage Living and Heidi Swapp’s Wanderlust collections, so I used those along with the kit.

TBT Project Life 2015 Week 20

In the interest of getting this done, I tried not to fuss with this layout too much. Simple puffy stickers, easy journaling, makes quick finishing.

TBT Project Life 2015 Week 20

I even left two journal cards plain. Can you believe it? Yep, just to get it done. I am so ready to be done with 2015! Almost there.

TBT Project Life 2015 Week 20

Here is a look at the layout in the album. Yes, the left side of the layout is simply patterned paper, as I transitioned from the previous layout in a different style of page protector!

Thanks so much for following along with my catching up for 2015! I’ll see you back here again soon.

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17&19 Using Dear Lizzy Happy Place!

Hi there, I have a TBT layout today from last year’s Project Life to show you. I am working each week to try to finish up my 2015 album, and after this there are only four left to complete. Hooray! Here is the process video:

Here is the layout as I had created it last year. During the months that I was not actively scrapbooking, I was still taking time each month to print my photos and place them in the album. I also chose some products that I wanted to use at the time.

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

And this is the completed layout:

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

So you can see that I created the date card from the back of the overlay from the previous week, adding the Week 17 and a few of the confetti dots from the Dear Lizzy Happy Place stickers.

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

The word strips are perfect for Project Life in this collection. I loved the transparent overlay I had created previously from the Simple Stories I Am collection, so I left it as it was.

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

The kids had pulled out the Twister game and played the most silly, hilarious game that night. Yes, they are in their pajamas and were completely jacked up before bedtime, but they had an absolute blast.

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

Very simple embellishing on these two cards, a word strip and an asterisk and done.

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

I am seriously in love with this cherry embellishment, so I layered it onto the stripe card and added a stamped sentiment. I tried to use my Ombre stamp pad from Hero Arts, but the stamp wasn’t really big enough to see the Ombre. oh well. It’s still cute.

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

Again, minimal embellishments on these cards. I am learning, after doing Project Life for 4 years, that maybe it’s ok to leave some cards plain (gasp, sputter, horror! lol) and not fuss with them too much. This is good for me – last year I felt a sense that I was doing too much and have been making a serious effort to simplify these layouts.

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

For the opposite side, I decided to keep the title card simple.

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

The date card is next to the title card, with a quick tag and glitter alphas.

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

This journal card is from Elle’s Studio Cienna collection and I just added a little of the rub-on tape to add a little color and interest. So easy.

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

This journal card might be one of my favorites ever. One of the hard things about going back to older layouts, especially when journaling has already been added in the Collect app, is knowing what is left to journal? Do I need to add more journaling? This was a really fun list to make, that sort of calls to what is coming – the fun and excitement of summer!

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

This girl still loves her Barbie jeep, and both girls spent a lot of time going up and down that hill, all summer long. The journal card is also from Elle’s Studio, I believe, and the tag as well.

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

These glasses slay me. They fit little Miss and her sassafrass self perfectly, so there you go.

TBT Project Life 2015 Weeks 17 %26 19

What a fun, fresh layout! I really loved working with Dear Lizzy’s products, as always, with their bright colors and fun motifs. I’ll see you soon with more creative fun!
