Hello Lovelies! Today I have a digital process video to share with you from Weeks 12 and 13 in my 2019 Project Life album. Watch below to see how I use the Print To Pocket Action No. 01 to design and print this layout.
I am loving using this Action every single week to help me get these pages designed and printed. For this particular layout I included digital journal cards, and this is how the layout looked prior to printing. You can purchase this lovely digital kit called Spring Stories, over at the Sahlin Studio blog.
Thank you for joining me today! I will be sharing my full process video with you tomorrow for this layout. See you then!
Hello Lovelies! Today I am excited to share Weeks 09 and 10 in my 2019 Project Life album with you! Yesterday I shared how I designed this layout and printed it using the Print To Pocket Action No. 01, and today we are going to get to the fun part: journaling and embellishing the layout. Check out the process video below.
I am absolutely loving the pace I am keeping with two layouts per spread in this album. I always encourage my students in my class to take a good look at the volume of photos they are taking each week/month. Right now my personal pace is matching well with two weeks in a layout, and I am really loving getting two weeks completed at a time. The best part about really setting your pace is that you will feel accomplished in your memory keeping! Let’s take a closer look at the details on this layout.
Our stories for Week 09 included a travel week for Alan to White Plains, which meant single parenting for me for a few days! I also was filming for my class, In My Pocket, so I had a selfie from that. Another really wonderful story was about how our former bus driver in our neighborhood went viral on the internet for buying Valentine’s candy for his bus riders. I took a photo of Natalie watching the news story about then journaled about that.
As always, I began my layout with the date card, in the top left corner. I used a journal card that had several colors to pull from, and layered the vellum number on top. I am having more fun with my date cards this year! This one is quite simple: only the week number and the dates.
I am continuing my commitment to get myself into my albums this year, which is helped by filming regularly for my classes! I am not incredibly comfortable in front of the camera, but every week I take a few minutes to take a few photos of myself before filming. It can be challenging, for those of us who weren’t photographed a whole lot growing up, to get comfortable seeing ourselves in photos. I am embracing this practice and actually have been surprised at how pretty these photos turn out. I don’t mean that in a conceited way, but rather in a way that helps me feel better about myself and my photos!
I was very happy with the written words I had on this layout as well! I used all of the middle 3×4 cards for journaling in some way or another, and that makes me so happy! I try not to beat myself up over the amount of journaling – there is no right or wrong – but the weeks that there is lots to say are cool.
Alan was traveling this week and sent me these two photos from his trip. I love including his journeys into these albums and I especially love writing about how we deal with these trips. They give me the opportunity to parent in ways I don’t normally (such as getting up with our early bus riders!) and these are important stories to include.
Week 10 was back to normal, Alan back at home so we had a few date nights. I also had a chance to photograph our albums in their home in my studio, and it makes me incredibly happy to see them there! We also have been turning on the fireplace lately, and one evening we had a blanket in front of it. Our cat Zoe found the blanket and the warmth to be the perfect spot for her nap, so we joined her.
I had used the vellum number on the left side, so I continued that here and layered it on a different journal card. Still the same colorway, still just functional and so pretty.
I had lots of journaling on the other side, so I didn’t feel pressure to write a lot here. Notice how I always alternate journaling cards so there is a mix of text with photo, color with black and white.
Thanks so much for joining me today! What a fun layout and a great project for memory keeping. See you again soon!

Hello Lovelies! Today I am sharing my digital process for designing and printing my Project Life layout for Weeks 09 and 10. I am using the Print To Pocket Action No. 01, which you can purchase by clicking on the image below.
Watch here to see how quickly and easily this layout was created using this awesome Action!
Stay tuned, tomorrow I will share the second part of this layout, where I add physical embellishments and journaling. See you again soon!
Hello Lovelies! Today I wanted to share with you the projects I have completed for the Citrus Twist Design Team for the month of April! Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page as well, where you can view my process video for this Project Life layout.
My favorite layouts to create with the Citrus Twist kits are most definitely pocket pages! Pocket pages are my jam, and the April Make It A Venti kit is perfect. My 2019 album is coming along and I loved using this kit for these two weeks in February. The soft colors with pinks and purples and a pop of blue made this layout easy to pull together.
I also created a bit in my Life Crafted album this month. I absolutely love this format and love just creating for fun.
The April kit was mostly coffee themed, but still a very versatile kit! I am not a fan of coffee, but I was inspired to think about other mug-related things and that inspired me to create this fun layout about mug cakes! I love these things and we eat them quite a lot in our house, so it was perfect to document here.
I also documented my love of Diet Coke for this layout that was shared on Instagram! I had so much fun creating that mixed background, and notice the vertical embellishments on the left. Such an easy trick!
This mixed media layout is perhaps one of my all-time favorites. I was inspired by one of the patterned papers in the kit for my background, and that amazing floral cut file. What an amazing creative month! Be sure to check out the Citrus Twist blog, and watch my process video below to see my pocket page!
Thank you so much for joining me! See you again soon!
Hello Lovelies!!! Today I am sharing an Introduction to my 2019 Project Life album! I started this album a few weeks ago and have been sort of feeling my way through how I wanted to approach this project this year. I have already created a few weeks and have shared a few of them in the classroom at In My Pocket Volume 01. Today you can watch my Introduction video and see a short walk through of the first ten weeks here.
I would love to share with you some of the layouts that have already been completed. First was the Introduction layout, which is a pocket page I did while I was on the Clique Kits design team. I have used Paige Evans Whimsical collection and sequins from Spiegel Mom Scraps.
For the first two weeks of January I created a layout using the Sahlin Studio Winter collection. At this time I didn’t really know how each layout was going to work out just yet, so I simply added the January 01 date. It ended up being a two week spread, and that is pretty much how I plan to keep going on this project.
The following two layouts are included in the process videos for In My Pocket Volume 01.
I also have created this layout for Week 11 for the Sahlin Studio creative team, featuring the Ouch! digital collection.
I hope you will check back tomorrow as I will share my layout for Weeks 09 and 10, with complete process video sharing my digital portion and the physical process. How about you? Have you started your 2019 Project Life album yet? I’d love to hear how you are approaching this project this year so let’s chat! Thank you for joining me on this next adventure!
