Larkindesign Creative Team Introductions | Renae Jones!!!

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be here and share with you my first project for the Larkindesign Creative Team!

I love hybrid scrapbooking because there’s so much more you can do with digital products if you put your mind to it. You can print things at different sizes (just watch the resolution if you try to go bigger!), fussy cut elements, recolour designs, combine designs, and so much more. For this project I’ve used a 6×4 card from the Larkindecember collection as the basis for a 6×8 layout.

This is the Larkindecember collection, available in the shop, or click on the image below to purchase!

Living in Australia means we have a Summer Christmas, so come late November I plant a display to greet people at the front door. This year I mainly used red and white pertunias, along with some dichondra, a wooly bush, and pre existing tree. The soldier and reindeer were new this year so I had to include them in my December Daily album.

To put this together, I started by printing the Merry, merry card, then fussy cutting around the flowers. I wanted to pick up the red in my photo, and in the floral arrangement on the card, so I chose a red background paper from the Paislee Press December Daily mini kit. I popped the blue star on top of the tree mainly because the tip of my tree was cut off during printing! To fill the blank space on the right I made a tag from white card stock, which I embellished with a die cut from Feed Your Craft, Kaisercraft gold numbers for the date, a piece of gold string, and some tiny alphas in lieu of journaling. Lastly I added the ‘home’ did cut to balance it all out.

Thanks for reading my introductory post! I look forward to sharing my January projects with you next month. Also you can find out more about me, including my social media links, on my About Me page.
