December Daily 2015 Day 15

Hi there, welcome to Day 15 in my December Daily series! Today I chose to highlight our daughter Emberlynn by showing an event that she participated in at her school. This event, a dance performance, actually happened a few weeks ago, but I think it was a highlight of her year and she doesn’t really have anything going on in the month of December. So this was a great opportunity to create a layout about her.

**A note about these photos: I am highly sensitive to the issues going on in our schools this week, and it breaks my heart that schools are under attack in the name of fear. These photos show children that attend my daughter’s school, and in the interest of privacy and security, I have blurred faces and the name of the school. Thank you for understanding the importance of this matter.

Here is Day 15 as it was created for the Foundation Pages:

Here is the completed layout, in the album:

Because the number 15 was sort of fading out, I decided to back it with a simple patterned paper. I also changed out the journaling card, because I wanted more space to journal.

For the photo, I layered it on top of the Let it Shine card and added a few silver stars. I also lightly stamped stars onto the photo itself, although they are very light and hard to see.

For the left side, I added a couple of labels and journaled on top of them.

Thank you so much for following along every day! I hope you are feeling inspired to go, do, and create.

See you soon!

Several items used in this layout were part of kits that I ordered throughout the year from Gossamer Blue. The label with the black border and the silver glitter stars are those items. Also, some of the items I have used are, sadly, no longer available. They are the gold letters used to spell Shine (they are Basic Grey), and the label with the red border (Jillibean Soup).
