Hi there! I am continuing to work on my December Daily foundation pages, this year in an assembly line style. So far I have created the album, the page protectors, and the transparency dividers. Today I am going to work with my journaling and filler cards! Have a look here:
I can’t say enough how happy these cards are making me! I loved grouping them together so that when I go to place them in my pockets, they are already combined. Decisions made. Here are the photos of each grouping I have created so far:
One of the reasons I wanted to add these paint splatters this year is to be able to add a little mixed media feel to my album. I knew I wouldn’t be able to paint every day during the month of December, but this made it easy just in one afternoon to add a little something to each card.
These cards are all from the Ali Edwards December Daily Main kit and the Liz Tamanaha Paislee Press Mini kit, both available at Ali’s website. They were so fabulously neutral and totally workable with any theme you might be using in your album.
My goal in adding the paint splatters was to give the cards a little contrast and visual interest. I also plan to add a few embellishments here and there, so the splatters will add dimension to those.
This was just an awesome fun way to spend an afternoon, you guys.
Seeing all the cards laid out like this makes me so ready to get going. I am ready for December, I am ready for the excitement and fun and love of the holidays!
I hope this has given you a little visual inspiration as you work along in your own album! Stay tuned, next week I will most likely share how I place the cards in my album and hopefully add some embellishments as well. One more step done! See you soon!
