Ok, let’s have a look at my process video for my 2017 album, Week 42.
This layout is a full page on the left side, 6×12 insert on the right hand side.
Some of our stories for this particular week included checking out the Greenway in downtown Winston Salem, Natalie being home sick, our boys playing together, and a lovely husband who works so hard around the house.
I grabbed some of my Freckled Fawn products for this layout as a tribute for the end of the monthly kits. The color purple caught my eye so I’ve used it heavily in this layout and I love it. I created my date card using white cardstock and some of the transparent stickers, plus a tag from Ali Edwards.
Once I selected my cards, I went through my stash to find coordinating products in similar colors. I am always excited to use purple, pink and turquoise. All my favorites! Also, check out the sunlight in the photo of Natalie. I love those simple captures.
I always talk about capturing relationships in our photography, and the photo below is an excellent example. These two boys are best friends and they just love each other. It is so much fun to watch them and to know they will have their friendship for life! Here they are playing games on the laptop in my studio. Now that the kids laptop is in my studio I get to be part of these interactions quite a bit.
I love that these pages allow me the space to tell all the things that are meaningful to me. Even a simple stack of laundry serves as a wonderful reminder to me that Alan and I have a really special relationship in part because he works so hard. He does laundry and dishes right along with me and I love him for it. I want our kids to know this as well, and I want to remember this forever.
This is absolutely why I do this project, year after year, and why it means so much to me! So many awesome memories, even in our every day life. See you in the next lesson!
