Let’s take a look at my layout for Week 32 in my 2017 Album B.
I am so much loving how this layout turned out for this week! I am using my own collection called Out With the Old, which was released in January, and it just gives me all the best feels.
This layout turned out to be a single full page plus a half page on the right hand side, and I am loving having the option to do this when the week is light on photos. This week Natalie turned 10, so there was lots of celebrating, and I also included a story about how she had been laying stuffed animals on my pillows every night for me to sleep with. So sweet, that girl!
I began with a date card which is part of the printables included with In My Pocket Volume 01. I also added the star stamps and puffy stickers, which are from Dear Lizzy Stargazer. Those cards are so much fun to embellish!
Having a blended family means there are always lots of different ways to celebrate, and for Nick and Natalie we always celebrate with their Dad. He is in the photo here watching her open presents. I’ve used Dear Lizzy labels here to tie in the navy color from the collection and add just a note to the photo.
That plaid 3×4 card makes me incredibly happy! I’ve used a little bird from the Stargazer collection, along with the stamps and puffy stickers, to embellish the card. Birds are something I have used for Natalie’s layouts for a long time, and I still love adding them in our family layouts as well. So much happiness here!
These are her stuffed animals – the first night she just left one, the second night she left two, and then this night there was a whole bunch of them! It definitely made me laugh and made me feel loved. Such awesome little tiny everyday things that are the most important to remember and document.
We also took them both to a place in Greensboro called Celebration Station, which is a Go-cart track, mini golf, and arcade game place. They do midnight Go-cart racing every once in a while, and I have to say it was an absolute blast! We stayed out way too late and inhaled entirely too much exhaust to ever be healthy again, but oh everyone had such a great time.
For her birthday cake she wanted a cookie cake that said Happy Birthday Foxy. She is an avid fox fan and has a million stuffed foxes, and she calls them all Foxy. So there you have it, the perfect ten-year birthday week!
That is all for Lesson 02. See you in the next lesson!
