Lesson 02 | Process Videos
Let’s take a look now at the process videos I have created for this lesson. The first two pages are single pages in the album: our Easter egg hunt at our church and then our Easter weekend we spent at the beach.
Here is the completed Easter egg hunt layout:
Oh my gosh, you guys, these photos are such a time capsule! If you ever wondered if our kids ever didn’t take a cute photo, here is your proof! I spoke about this in the process video, about being able to look back on it five years later and just laughing! These guys were clearly done with the egg hunt, done with each other, and it just makes me laugh!
For this layout I used Elle’s Studio Live Laugh Love collection. It was very spring themed with bright happy colors and of course lots of stars and hearts. I still chose journaling cards with lots of white space here, only the striped card has no white. Then I had fun layering the vellum, acrylic, and puffy hearts on top of the printed hearts!
The stamp set is also part of the Live Laugh Love collection, and is so easy to use on the page.I made labels for the photos and layered stickers on top of them. This page technically has two titles, this one below created with the puffy alphabets plus the scallop border. Add a simple date stamp for a really simple and quick date card!
I also used those vellum die cuts as layering pieces underneath the stamped images and other embellishments. I love the see through properties of the vellum and the acrylic pieces, don’t you?
Now for the second page, the first of three pages about our Easter get-away trip to the Outer Banks, NC. The next two pages will be in the video on the next page.
This was a significant trip for us, as I believe it was our first trip out of town as a blended family. This meant all sorts of adjustments, and travelling with four kids was quite an accomplishment! I am so lucky to do this with Alan, as he is truly a partner in this journey. The smiles and photos are proof!
I decided to use the Studio Calico Written in the Stars kit for this layout. I truly in my heart feel that us being together was written in the stars, and the colors and motifs in the kit are perfect! The kit included these pink wooden stars, so that was the starting point for everything!
Oh my goodness, you guys, I just love everything about this layout. The memories, the magical colors, and the idyllic feelings that are evoked! I feel so passionately about these layouts, and about sharing this class and this layout with you guys, because our memories are so very precious. And pretty products definitely help, don’t they?!
I absolutely had to use this gold word for my title. We are most definitely happy and enjoying each others’ company. Gold and pink are always so pretty together, aren’t they? And if you ever wonder can we use pink with boy layouts? Oh yes, you betcha!
