Hello everyone, this is Heba Alsibai I’m here today to share a fun little layout with you in my Traveler’s Notebook. This Traveler’s Notebook measures around 4X6 and it’s the perfect size to use your project life cards as backgrounds and layers.

I am working with the Larkindesign The Heart Is Home digital collection for this layout.

When I saw this digital collection, The Heart Is Home, I knew I wanted to document this photo of our home surrounded by snow. We had the best three day weekend full of playing in the snow, drinking hot coco and sitting by the fire place. So I really wanted to document this beautiful memory using the collection.

I always start my layouts by adding a subtle background and this beautiful black and white floral card was perfect for that. Once I stuck it down I went ahead and started fussy cutting out a few things like, some of the flowers from January’s digital collection called, Out With The Old, and I also cut out my title.

Working on the right side of my layout I backed up my photo using one of the 3×4 cards. I still wanted to add more layers to my photo so I fussy cut out the little houses from one of the cards to add as an embellishment. This is a great way to create your own embellishments by fussy cutting out illustrations from your cards. You can use them as backgrounds, layers or embellishment for your layout.

If you know me you know I love to stamp. So to add depth to my little line of houses I stamped Love This Place directly on my embellishment. It just adds the perfect touch. To finish of my spread I added some black splatter stamped out a few more phrases and called my layout done. I have also filmed my process for this layout, which can be viewed here:

I hope I was able to inspire you on different ways to use the new February digital collection from Larkindesign.
