Real Time Scrapbook Layout | Disney Layout 03

Hi guys, today’s layout is another in my Disney album and I am so excited to show it to you! Do you ever start a project and drag your heels on it and then you’re not really sure if you love it or not? Well today’s layout made me absolutely fall in love with this project. Have a look at my process video first:

So here is the layout to start with, it has two photos and the rest of our entrance cards.

This is the completed layout:

And then I also added a sequin pocket and a place to keep this Times Guide from the park that day.

Ya’ll, I just can’t get over this photo and the sequins on top. This really was one of those serendipitous moments in scrapbooking: I wanted to make this insert for the Times Guide, and decided it should be 8×10. Half of it has the paper and the other half has the sequins. I didn’t actually know how this would look until I actually laid it over the castle photo, and I realized the sequins overlay perfectly.

Here are the journaling cards underneath. Again nothing complicated, I added a few stars to the white journaling card and the arrow and sticker to the photo itself.

The second journaling card just has the date stamp and another word sentiment stamped at the bottom (this card from the Honey Edition Core Kit). I love this simplicity.

On the facing page, I left the Main Street card alone and added journaling next to it (both of these cards and the one at the bottom of this page are from Sahlin Studios, purchased from The Lily Pad).

A simple embellishment across the bottom of the photo, and the word Dream added to the map card. And this layout is done, but definitely one of my favorites ever!

Here is one more look overall:

Alright, I will see you back here again tomorrow for a TBT layout!

Introduction to my Disney Album!!!!

Oh my word, I have been holding out for three years taking on this project. We went to Disney three years ago (!!!!!) and it has taken me this long to get motivated on it. So today I have two videos for you. The first is how I am approaching this project and some of the products I plan to use. Here, take a look!

The second video I am releasing today is the walk-thru of the video as it is right now. I am using a Project Life album and Project Life page protectors, and so because of that I went ahead and placed all the photos into the album itself. So this is the video showing this at its starting point.

So since there were two videos for this album, I won’t make this a long blog post. However, there are a few things I wanted to photograph to highlight.

Introduction to Disney Album

The pages right now are just photos, ready for the cards and embellishments to be added. This has allowed me to plan the number and arrangements of the layouts themselves, and also to plan where I want enlargements.

This layout using a larger photo of the castle is a direct scraplift from  Sahlin Studios.

Introduction to my Disney Album

Something that I wanted to feature prominently in my album are the maps that we used to get around the parks. I find they are so colorful and fun and contain important time capsules. They show exactly what the park contained at that time, what was available to see and do. These maps can be found just by Googling and you can find them by year as well. This one is the 2013 one and is specific to the holidays (also a bonus!)

Another challenge, I guess, with this album, was how to work with the vertical photos I took on this trip. Most of my photos were horizontal, and in that case Design A works great. But for the vertical photos I used Design D, and made sure to put vertical photos back to back. That means that events where I took vertical photos had to be arranged back to back, with Design D in between.

Alright, so that is the beginning! I plan to add journal cards next, so look for another post about that next week!

See you soon!
