Hi guys, I decided today would be a good day to show you my newest art journal project! I have done art journaling and mixed media for a long time but never really on a regular basis. I am realizing that while my layouts are mostly being created in the Project Life App, I am still wanting to get my hands dirty. I don’t really consider myself an artist, but I do love the process of watching media come together on a page to create a desired (or unexpected!) result. This is the purpose of art journaling: to create something with no particular purpose in mind other than to watch what happens as it is created. (This is not an official dictionary definition, by the way. This is the Theresa brand definition!) Actually art journaling can be anything you want it to be. The important thing is to enjoy what you are doing. So have a look at my first art journaling process video!
My husband always says this one thing when he is cooking, and I think it applies with art journaling:
I chose several products that I really do love: the text stamp and the flower stamp have long been favorites of mine. Of course the Shine Bright stamp reflects my One Little Word, and the photo is one of my favorites of this year.
I also created some tags, based on this layout. They can be found in my Etsy shop, which can be accessed by clicking on the Shop link up top.
So do you think my husband is right? If you add all your favorite things, is the outcome a favorite thing?! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I will see you tomorrow with a Project Life layout!
