Traditional Layout | Dreams Feat. Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams
Hi guys!!!! So I just can’t seem to put this Maggie Holmes collection down! I decided to create a traditional layout to share with you today. Woot woot!
Ah that was so much fun to create and I could not wait to share this layout with you today. Here is a look at the completed layout:
My jumping off point for the layout was my photo and a few thoughts about what I needed to hear that day. This is a combination of art journaling and scrapbooking, isn’t it? I began the layout by printing my journaling directly onto my cardstock, knowing that I wanted my photo to be above. I had not decided for sure about what collection I wanted to use, or how I wanted to embellish, and that will always come when it is time.
I knew that I wanted this beautiful pink floral to show and I also knew I wanted to use my favorite stencil to create some florals of my own. The stencil I used is an older one from Dear Lizzy, and I chose Tim Holtz Distress Paints to create the florals. I wanted them to be alongside the journaling, but leaving enough white space to give your eye a place to rest on the layout.
Just a few embellishments, some pink paint splatters, and this layout is complete.
My journaling reads as follows:
Love,
Theresa
