Larkindesign Art Journal Journal With Me Volume 05 | Brighter Days

Hello Lovelies! Today is Wednesday and that means it is time to Art Journal With Me! I am so excited to be starting a new journal this week, it’s a smaller size than my previous one and it has inspired me to go even more simple. I also have been inspired recently by RUKristin’s Daily Pages, so today’s layout will be super fast! You can learn more about Kristin’s Daily Pages, and the Awesome Ladies Project here: Awesome Ladies Project. Check it out on our Light The Path Instagram Stories each week as well, and if you want to see more of my Art Journals, follow this link here: Larkindesign Art Journals.

I started with the most simple supply, these transparent hearts from Studio Calico. Laying them on my new notebook told me exactly how the layout should go, don’t you just love when that happens? So I pulled a bit of patterned paper and a stencil and got started!

I’ve used a patterned paper from Paige Evans Bloom Street as my background, and on top of that I layered modeling paste with a stencil from The Crafter’s Workshop. The modeling paste is new to me, from NUVO, and I love it! I added a bit of water to activate it, and then used a paper towel to apply the paste. This makes it less bulky in your album, which is a definite plus. It did take a while for it to dry, so take note of that.

Once that was all dry, I attached the hearts using my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. I made the staples a part of the page design, and love this look. While I was choosing these products, I was thinking about what are the things I want to bring into my life right now? The hearts and flowers definitely speak to me right now.

Once the hearts were attached, I grabbed an older alphabet stamp set from Stampin’ Up to write my affirmation. I thought you could probably use this reminder as well right now! Thank you so much for joining, I will see you again soon!
