Hello Lovelies and welcome back to our Disney Album Project! Today we are continuing on our journey through Universal, and having breakfast with the Minions! We have been such avid fans of these movies ever since the very first one came out, so having a character breakfast with the Minions was one of the first things we signed up for! If you’d like to see all of our Disney Album layouts, check out this link: Larkindesign Disney 2020 Album. Follow along with my process today!
My layout today was so very much Minion themed, but I still wanted to use Project Mouse because I knew there were some awesome dining cards, and I also knew there were some fantastic yellow and blue cards. The Project Mouse Bundle No 04: A Day At The Park and particularly Daily Documenting and Food Cards are perfect!
The left hand side is a combination of photos of our family together, food, and a really cute story about the interactions between the girls and Addison. So many good stories!
As always, I began with the title card. This card was created by using the dinner plate patterned card. I layered a simple white rectangle over top of it in Photoshop before printing, because I knew I would want room for my title. I added a Minions sticker strip over top, and the word Breakfast using alphabets from Citrus Twist Kits. I also stamped the sentiment using the Ali Edwards Magic stamp set, and added a sticker from the sticker book I purchased at the park. And you guys, oh look at how crooked it is! Ha! I have decided to leave it like that for now, although I could reprint the card and cut it out and remake the whole thing. But time marches on and so on to other things. It actually looks kinda cute!
The three photos across the bottom of the layout tell the story of how when the girls met Addison, they made such a big fuss over him! They giggled and blushed and acted like they were going to set him up with Agnes. It took Addison a little while to figure it out, and when he caught on he blushed big time! It was hilarious and so incredibly cute. The girls were darling.
I also used the Word Bits from the Project Mouse Bundle, and added a few Minion stickers to the edge as embellishments. I also used some enamel star dots in blue, and round dots in yellow. Anything that was yellow or blue was prime candidate for this page!
The Word Bits have the best labels and tabs! I included the one below on our photo of the family all together. That was such a hilarious time, Gru kept hogging the whole camera and you know, being all Gru about it. It was too funny, but we were all laughing AND everyone actually got into the photo! I call that a big win.
The right hand side continues the fun, with lots of yellow and blue!
The photo of myself with Gru, Alan, Addison, and one of the Minions was taken when we first arrived. They were waiting as we walked in the door, and then they all walked around as everyone was eating. It was so well done, and all the characters were so much fun!
I needed more space for journaling, so I printed the black and white card at the bottom from the Daily Documenting kit, and added a washi tape in yellow across the top. Then I layered another word strip in blue so the card would tie in with the rest of the layout.
I kept embellishing really simple, just enough to be fun but not compete with the layout. The dining card below only needed one little blue enamel star!
Then for the photo of the dining hall, I added one of the labels from the Word Art, and another Minion sticker. This is so quick and easy. The stamped sentiment is from Elle’s Studio Magical Memories stamp set.
Thank you so much for joining me today! This was such a fun event and it is so exciting to have the layout completed! So many amazing stories. See you again soon!
