Disney Project Life | The Princess Dinner!!!!

Hi guys! Oh this Disney album keeps getting better and better! I have been waiting so long to scrapbook the photos that I will show you today, namely from our Princess Dinner at Epcot Norway! Here is a look at my process:

I had a few photos from our time at The Seas with Nemo & Friends, so I placed those on the left, and then the right hand side begins the documentation of our Princess Dinner!

Above is the layout with journaling cards and photos, and here is the completed layout in its entirety:

Can you believe it, there are actually two photos of us as a family (except for the parent who was photographing!) I will say this: we did have a Photopass and we did have our photo taken professionally a few times, and I never liked how any of them came out so I simply did not order any of them. So these are probably about the only ones of us together. I actually think that is kind of funny, looking back on it now!

So we did really like the Nemo ride and the aquariums here. I actually added a title card with just the name of the attraction in simple black alphas. I know, I have not created many title cards in this project, but for some reason this layout provided that opportunity so I took it.

This simple filler card from Sahlin Studios is one of my favorites, and I was excited to get to use it right here! I added a few words from the Shimelle stamp set that belongs in the Starshine collection and I really like how that turned out.

This layout as a whole seems to be blue on one side, pink on the other, but the yellow provides the common denominator. I made sure to include yellow elements in several places to bring both sides together!

This photo of the four of them peering into the fish tank captured a really special moment for me. I have mentioned several times how this was our first trip together as a blended family, and it is moments like this that remind me that we are on the right path. These moments, split seconds before someone runs off, help me remember that the goal is not perfection, but the goal is so they can experience life together. So they can experience life whole, just like they are viewing this ocean together. And then I am eternally grateful for these albums and for these photos and these opportunities to tell these stories so they will remember too.

Speaking of amazing experiences, the Princess Dinner at Norway is simply magical. For this side of the layout I printed and cut the embellishments in the Sahlin Studios Princess collection. I used sticker paper in my Silhouette to do the cuts.

I created another title card (yes, two in one layout, can you believe it?) with turquoise alphas. The colors on this layout are actually both all over the map, and I love that.

This triangle patterned filler card makes me so happy right here. I feel as though my printer may have printed it a bit dark, but regardless I love the combination of colors and the pop it gives the layout. The happy flowers next to it keep the layout feeling light and happy.

This photo right here, you guys. Of course Disney is known for how wonderful its cast members treat their guests, and we saw that time and again as we travelled through the parks. But the princesses truly went above and beyond to reach out to every child in the room, speak with them, hug them, and make them feel special. Oh goodness, my heart.

Of course I always have some issues with my photography, and this event was no different! There was a lovely stream of light coming right in over their faces, and the overall lighting situation in this room was abysmal for this fledgling DSLR learner (I only had my camera for about three weeks at this point!). But it does not matter.

And see Cinderella in the background? That family had a little precious baby girl, and the mama was so stinkin’ proud and happy to be there. I might have been more excited for them, because her excitement was so contagious. Oh, so many feels.

There is more to come from this dinner, because we had four princesses who visited our table that night. So stay tuned next Wednesday for that. Meanwhile, I will see you tomorrow for TBT!
