Hi guys, today I am sharing my layout in my 2017 Project Life album for Week 23! I have combined digital and physical products today. The digital kit is the August Memory Pockets Monthly kit from The Lilypad, and the physical kit is my Felicity Jane Kate kit!
Our stories this week included Nick’s 13th birthday, a chaotic day in the neighborhood where a gas line was cut, and we finally got our Nintendo Switch!
The Felicity Jane Kate numbers called to me and just begged to be used on a Project Life spread, so I printed this geometric card on my page and then layered the numbers on top. I also used the Felicity Jane puffy alphabet for the week, and those tiny little adorable hearts balance the card out.
I love combining The Lilypad kits with other physical products! The colors in the kits are always very flexible and go with lots of different products! The August Observations kit is no different! So many fun, bright colors!
Has anyone else been trying to the the Nintendo Switch? It’s their latest gaming platform and it has been marketed heavily to Splatoon fans. Natalie is our Splatoon fan and she has been dying to get the Switch, but they released it through pre-order and I think it is still only available if you pre-order it! So we finally pre-ordered it and not even a week later it arrived! Lots of happy faces here!
For the digital template I used the Paislee Press Pocket Guide No 01, and this 3×4 card in mint is one of the cards in that template. The white borders around my photos with text also are part of that template!
For the right hand side I used the word art from the Paislee Press template as well. In contrast to the bright pink on the left, I used a mint background on this side.
I absolutely love these photos of the kids all together on the front porch. They tell quite the stories, year after year. Natalie is right in the middle of a major growth spurt, can you tell?!
I had so much fun creating this journal card at the bottom of the layout! I needed lots of space to journal, but the tab and scallop die cuts from the Kate kit are perfect accents.
There’s nothing like a little scare every now and again to remind you of how fortunate we are, and this was definitely one of those weeks. We have had contractors in and out of our neighborhood digging up everyone’s yards to install new infastructure, and for the house at the end of our cul-de-sac it almost ended in disaster. They hit a gas line and so our street was tied off for a good part of the day, the fire trucks showed up, and it was overall chaos. Luckily everything turned out ok, but I sure am thankful for our happy little corner of the world!
