Hello Lovelies! Welcome back to our Disney 2020 vacation album! I am so excited to share one of the first layouts in our album, all about Prep and Planning for the vacation! We had so much fun anticipating this trip and there were several details I have captured. Are you interested in learning more about how this album came together? Join us in our newest class, In My Pocket Theme Parks Edition! If you’d like to see all of the layouts I have created so far in this series, be sure to check them out here: Larkindesign Disney 2020 Album. I created a process video for this layout, so let’s go!

I am using the Project Mouse Planning kit, which is part of Project Mouse Bundle No. 02, available through the link at The Lilypad. This kit was a no-brainer for this layout and gives such great opportunities to journal about your planning! For my title card I chose the Family Vacation card and added the gold puffy word from Heidi Swapp. These cards stand beautifully on their own, but they are also so much fun for those of us who love our embellishments as well!

One of the stories I had to tell was about how we dropped hints for several weeks before we went. One of those hints was Mickey waffles. We never buy Mickey waffles! And no one got the hint! Ha! I used the yellow cloud card to write a bit about our anticipation, and then layered the circle word art on top. I printed that and cut it out using my Silhouette, and it adds a pop to that card for sure.

The photo of the girls was after our Magic Bands arrived, and they wanted to try them on of course! These were so special to us and we loved seeing what each person chose for the Band. I also made a point to keep the box and other miscellaneous mail they sent us before our trip. I couldn’t keep the whole box, but the inside lid was perfect for cutting down to fit into a pocket! So pretty!

One more photo of the Magic Bands. They need their own Project Mouse collection, don’t you think? I added a word strip to the top and then journaled across the packaging. I love how this side came to life!

For the right hand side I started with another journaling card. This side focused more on the secret planning Alan and I did at night, whispering in our room so no one would hear. I will treasure those nights so much, conspiring the trip of a lifetime with my best friend! Truth be told, I think we planned this trip for us! The kids just came along for the fun, right? Ha!

I am not the best at checklists, but Project Mouse does it for you. I used tiny red stars here to mark the points we were working with at this stage. The stars are from Elle’s Studio.

We look so nefarious on the bed with the laptop! Ha! I added one of the bracket shaped labels to the photo just to document how I felt then. I am definitely so glad I am married to someone who loves Disney as much as I do!

Any time is a good time for a sequin pocket, so I created one here with colorful sequins that repeat the colors already in the layout. Stars and glitter, yes please! I have this sealed up with washi tape for now but will keep an eye on it. If it needs additional reinforcement I can always add that later. For the bottom card I loved these suitcases because they have a Mary Poppins feel to them. I added the castle starburst, the magical memories No. 01, and a wood veneer word strip. The wood veneer pieces are both Elle’s Studio.

The calendar card was the perfect home to document the dates of our trip. I stamped the dates in red ink using an older Ali Edwards stamp set, and then filled in those dates with some fun embellishments. All of the physical embellishments are from Elle’s Studio. The circle word is from Project Mouse Planning. This card makes me so happy!
